Cougar

This little kitten came the Trust at 8 weeks old from a farm, covered in fleas and desperate to find a new home. We are happy to report Cougar, as she has been named, 'cos she purrs like a "BIG' cat, is now living happily in Eastbourne and last we heard was winning hearts by being excessively cute and has her new family totally wound round her tiny white paw

Riley

Riley had really been down on his luck when the Animals SOS Trust rescued him, but now he is living the "Life of Riley" at his wonderful new home in Tawa. Riley is so sociable he immediately wins over everyone he meets. His speciality is rolling over and demanding a tummy rub, while purring loudly.

Amy

No-one could replace "Evie" who sadly died over the Christmas period, but Vivienne felt she had to fill the void and so has adopted Amy. Amy is about 5 years old and has settled in beautifully with Vivienne's other two cats and Missy her Boxer dog. The best thing is that Amy never stops purring she just adores having a new home of her own.

Jim

4 year old Labrador

Jim used to live with "Larry" but has
now found a great new home with a lovely
family on a lifestyle property in Pukerua Bay which he also shares with some chickens.

Jim has a wonderful gentle nature and enjoys
playing with the 3 young children.

Spud

Thanks to the generosity of the Local "Contact" newspaper and the general public of greater Wellington, we were inundated with people wanting to help Spud. We easily raised the money needed for her to have her 'knee' operation and she is now happily installed in her new home - loving life. So, from Spud and the team at Animals SOS, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed, we really appreciate your support.

Whisky

12 year old Bearded Collie

Whisky is just so charming she found a home straight away with a lovely family in Wainuiomata. The other family dog was initially a little jealous of Whisky but now they are best mates and go everywhere together. Whisky's favourite passtime is going for rides in the car.

Ralph

12 Month Old Labrador Cross

Ralph is still a big puppy. He has a very exuberant personality and just wants to play all the time. He went to a family who had another very timid Lab cross who he has befriended and given a lot more confidence to go out and face the world - Thanks Ralph

Meg

Khara

3 month old male Pitbull/lab cross
(formerly known as Amber)

Khara was abandoned, but was lucky to find her way to the Animals SOS Trust. Khara is now living in Wellington with her new best friend, a young man whom she gets to go to work and just about everywhere else with every day. What man wouldn't want to be seen with such a beauty!

Sapphire

12 week old - Female Tabby Kitten

Born a country kitten in Blenheim, Sapphire is now a city cat living happily in Newlands. She left behind her sister Wilma and mother Meowsie, but her other sister Jasmin relocated to Wellington with her so no doubt they will keep in touch.

Muska

20 month old Labrador cross
(formerly known as Coke).

Muska has a wonderful new home in Karori with people who really adore him. He also has two new siblings to play with, Jimmy and Katie, two bossy Scottish Terriers who are slowly training Muska to see things their way! Muska has a lovely big run of his own in the back yard and goes for at least 2 substantial walks every day.

Jackson

12 month old Pitbull

Due to Jackson's previous owners change in personal circumstance, she was unable to keep him, so as much as she loved him, he came to us to be rehomed. Jackson is now settling in well in his new home in Ngaio and enjoys long walks, lots of love and affection and playtime with his new brother Zen PS. Zen is a dog too!

Olli

4 year old male Huntaway Cross

We rescued Olli from an environment of neglect where he was kept tied up in filthy conditions and was underfed and malnourished. He is now living with a couple who adore him and say Olli has enriched their lives. The 2 cats are slowly coming to terms with their new brother.

Rex

11 month old Bordercollie/Poodle cross

Came from Paraparaumu and by chance has found a good home back on the Kapiti Coast with Danny. Rex is now employed as a builders apprentice and gets to go to work with the Boss every day which he loves.

Zac

5 year old German Shepherd.

Spent a week with the Trust during which time he fretted terribly for his owners. Happily he has now found a wonderful new home with a couple who adore him and take him to many German Shepherd Dog Club activities in Wellington. He has become a very important part of their family, he sleeps with them, watches TV from the comfort of the couch and is always first to the car when they go out and he insists they take him out at least twice a day!
